About Us

Hi, my name is Shonda!

Welcome to the beautiful, mostly chaotic, world that is my life.

As a wife, step-mom, and co-parent to a couple of amazing teenage daughters in travel sports, we are constantly on the move and finding ways to maintain a healthy and suitable co-parenting relationship that works for our family.

Living with unmedicated Adult ADHD, I am constantly on the move, trying new hobbies (like blogging!), and driving my family crazy. If nothing else, it keeps life interesting!

Aside from working full time, I am also the only child of a recently windowed father who’s living with vascular dementia. While it’s been stressful, I let my hobbies (and Pinterest) lead me to creative outlets.

I also like to use my creative talents to donate time and space for my favorite non-profit, Neighbors United. Specifically, I volunteer for their main focus event, Walk for the Red 140. While men and women walk 140 miles across my home state of Michigan to raise money for the families of firefighters battling cancer, you can often find side by side with my husband, interviewing participants and creating social media content for exposure.

As you can see, my life doesn’t fit into one niche, but if you’re a fellow human trying to navigate through a messy, creative, and fulfilling life, I’d like to think you’ll feel right at home here. We’d love to have you follow along on our journey.

“I shall pass this world but once. Therefore any good that I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being; let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.” - Etienne de Grellet

“My interest in life comes from setting myself huge, apparently unachievable challenges and trying to rise above them.”

—Sir Richard Branson
