FAQs

What is Untamed and Unfocused?

Unfocused and Untamed is a lifestyle that tries to stay authentic, honest, and celebrates the perfection of being imperfect and chaotic in everyday life. We have a little bit of everything on this no-niche site because, honestly, how can you fit all of life into a box? It’s a space for parents, co-parents, creative souls, and ADHD champs. It serves as a reminder that perfection isn’t the goal - being genuine is.

You will find blog posts on ways to stay productive through the challenges life brings, hobbies that suit your interests, recipes that make life easier and more enjoyable, and everyday motivation. You truly are doing better than you think you are.

Why is it called Unfocused and Untamed?

Because that’s what real life feels like - covered in chaos, noise, wild hair, and a whole lot of oopsies. It’s a little wild, a lot creative, and never picture perfect. It’s about living intentionally, with gratitude for where you’re at and how far you’ve come, loving your messy middle, and finding some sort of balance.

Who Runs Unfocused and Untamed?

I’m Shonda, a content creator, stepmom, and creative soul who believes real life is more relatable when it’s unfiltered. I am very open about my stages of grief, living with unmedicated ADHD, my coparenting relationship with our daughter’s bio-mom, and both the ugly and beauty that makes up our life. This may have been written a pursuit of passion, but was intended to help you feel seen, supported, and inspired.

What Kind of Content Will I Find Here?

It’s a little mix of everything. From lifestyle posts, self-improvement ideas, family-friendly recipes and activities, home projects, DIYs , and creative motivation for those who want to live freely and authentically.
